Plugfest announcement: Berlin October 2025

Deutsche TV-Plattform (DTVP) is continuing its successful Plugfest series in cooperation with Digital TV Group (DTG) UK and the HbbTV Association in 2025. They would like to invite relevant participants to the 16th edition, which will take place from 6 to 8 October in Berlin at Fraunhofer FOKUS. Following the Plugfest, the HbbTV Association Testing Event will take place at the same venue (8-10 October).

The test focus of the Plugfest will be HbbTV, streaming, immersive audio and DVB-I, as well as traditionally on UHD-HDR tests (HDMI®). As always, the plugfest is aimed at device manufacturers, broadcasters, technology providers, platform operators, research and development institutions and standardisation bodies.

Please note that participation in all of the events requires prior registration, and participation in the Plugfest requires signing the participant agreement, which guarantees strict confidentiality. HbbTV-related results of the Plugfest may be shared anonymously within the HbbTV Association. Participation in the event requires active involvement; a purely observer role is not possible.

The schedule of the events is planned as follows:

* DTVP/DTG/HbbTV members: free of charge, Non-members: participant fee
** HbbTV members only, no fee
*** HbbTV Testing Group members only

You can register for participation in one or both parts of the event through the short web form at https://tv-plattform.de/plugfest.

Both the registration form and participant agreement must be submitted via email to the office at plugfest@tv-plattform.de by 5 September 2025. The participant agreement must be submitted with the digital signature of a duly authorised representative of the participating organisation.

Further details about the event will be published on the Plugfest website as soon as they are available.

Participation in the Plugfest is open to members of the organisers (Deutsche TV-Plattform, DTG UK or HbbTV Association) as well as companies outside these organisations, subject to a participation fee.
