How do we enhance to improve TV? Now viewers can log in by phone number using the HbbTV service right in TV during show ´Voice'. After that, it's possible to join special game for viewers, that competition lasts all season. The viewers guess which of the participants of show ´Voice' will go next, answer questions about the history of the show and accumulate points for correct answers. The best viewer will be awarded in the final! If any viewers don't want to log in, they also can play the interactive game during the broadcast without accumulating points. Also all viewers get by HbbTV additional information about songs and participants.

Description

In the new season of the TV show ´Voice', each viewer has his own personal red button! Just pick up the remote control and turn on your intuition! Log in by the phone number, click on the red button on the remote control and guess which of the participants will go to the next stage of the competition. The best viewer of the season must gives the most correct answers and he (or she) will be awarded in the final!

You can play game on televisions with HbbTV functionality, in the interactive player on the Channel One website and in the 'Voice' and 'First' mobile applications.
Participation in the interactive game is free. Make predictions into which team the participant will join, whom the Mentor will choose, who will go to the next stage and accumulate points. 1 correct answer = 1 point. The rating of players is formed by the number of points and the speed of answers to questions.

The game takes place throughout whole Russia. The rating is updated automatically during the broadcast. Responses from residents of eastern regions are processed earlier than data from the European part of the country. This does not affect the final results.

Impact

Our first experience using HbbTV service in 2018 showed that the Russian audience positively appreciated the appearance of interactive television. Now the average CTR in the Voice show is about 20%, and on some widgets it is approaching 30%.

Signing in with a phone number using HbbTV service is our next step in creating the television of the future. It is important for us that the audience feel their involvement in the show and not only watch TV, but also compete with each other during the broadcast. So we create the effect of presence. We are like talking to our viewers - hey, it's already Friday, it's time to turn on the TV, watch 'Voice' and continue the game! Do you want to win?

In addition to the obvious goal - to keep people at the screens and offer them something unique, we are solving another problem. Due to the fact that viewers are registered by mobile phone number, in the future we can target the audience for effective advertising campaigns.

In new season 2019-2020, we use HbbTV Service not only in show 'Voice'. Our interactive TV is also available in programs 'Who wants to be a millionaire' and 'Let's get married'. The viewers of show 'Who wants to be a millionaire?' now also can log in by phone number using the HbbTV service and answer the questions from the show. Just like in 'Voice'', viewers 'Who wants to be a millionaire?' accumulate points for correct answers after every broadcast. The winners among viewers will be chosen twice a year, in December and in May.
