The event will explore audience measurement, addressable advertising, global market expansion, AI-powered interfaces and personalisation, combining a full conference programme with a participant-driven unconference.

News · 25 Sept 2026 HbbTV 2.0.5 specification published by ETSI ETSI has formally published the HbbTV 2.0.5 specification as ETSI TS 102 796 V1.8.1. The latest version of the HbbTV core specification introduces enhancements including integrated DRM, WebAssembly support, additional web security measures, support for VVC and AV1 video codecs, and improved integration with DVB-I services.

News · 24 Sept 2026 HbbTV invites proposals for 2027 Interoperability and Test Events The HbbTV Association is inviting proposals from organisations interested in hosting an HbbTV Interoperability and Test Event in 2027. These events bring applications and devices together for interoperability testing and support the validation of tests ahead of HbbTV Test Suite releases. Proposals are invited by 19 October 2026.
